THE LITTLE MOLE, 1956
Zdeněk Miller was having problems coming up with an animal that Disney had not already used, but one day he tripped over a molehill, and that gave him an idea... And so the Little Mole was born in 1956. The first film, How the Mole Got His Trousers, was released the following year, and since then forty-nine more films have been made. The international success of the Little Mole, with his cheerful eyes and blue dungarees, is due in part to the fact that he expresses himself like a little child. Today, the Little Mole is well known in Europe, Japan and China.
